Corinne was so much more to me than my piano teacher. For ten years she was my motivational coach, a therapist when I needed one, a mentor and part of my family. I stopped taking lessons around five months ago…I would give so much to have one more. I am so grateful for the years I had with her. Without her, one of the most defining pieces of who I am wouldn’t exist. The opportunities I’ve had and the achievements I’ve made would not have happened without her. I am eternally thankful. I remember when Corinne met my first boyfriend. She jokingly sneered, waggled a finger in his face and said “you take care of her, I’m her second mother you know!” I will not forget her sassiness, kindness and her love. Every memory I have I will cherish for all my days. Duets, laughs, recordings, stories, everything. In the days that follow I will play all the time. Whenever I can. I will play knowing that she would want all her students to keep playing. Tragedy should not keep us from the gift she gave us. It should be the fire to play harder, with more passion and love than before. We all should play for her. Thank you, Jerome, for helping Corinne’s dreams come to fruition. Thank you both for sharing your talents. I cannot say it enough. Thank you. We remember the Imperial Drive Studio, The Oregon City, The Studio in your home by the Market of Choice. Always the welcoming feeling for the students and the parents. The wonderful recitals….We miss it all. Corinne helped our kids become the responsible adults they are. Much love to you all. Let her spirit give you strength now just as her life blessed your life while she was here. She touched many people’s lives. We will always have her memory affecting the way we live our lives. Corinne was always willing to help me. She prepared me for more than just the annual festival, she prepared me for life beyond piano. I remember the glitter and sparkles. A kindred spirit the sparkles just made any day better. We met weekly for years (2 daughters learned from her) it was a treat and I looked forward to it weekly. Thanks for treating our girls so respectfully weekly and by putting on such amazing recitals – above and beyond required. My older sister and I started taking lessons from Corinne at a young age. She was such a wonderful mentor in all aspects of my life, and taught me so much more than just piano. She was loving, and truly cared. She became part of our family, and I looked forward to seeing her each week. Thank you for sharing the beautiful, gentle, gifted Corinne with my family. Her light shines on in you and everyone she touched. My experiences with Corinne defined a large part of my life. She furthered my love of and skill in creating music in a way nobody else could. She challenged me, held me to a high standard and most importantly exhibited a genuine and uplifting care for me personally. When I deviated from a lesson plan, she moved with me. I cannot properly express how much the music she gave me means to my continued mental health and joy. Even guitar, which Jerome helped me learn for a few lessons, was still largely taught to me indirectly through Corinne. Additionally, she was an extraordinarily positive and delightful person. I am thankful that I got to share a small part of Corinne’s life. She is missed. Corinne was the mother of one of our best friends. In addition, she was my piano teacher. My fondest memories of Corinne take place in the basement of their old duplex, where Corinne pushed me to practice my skill. Corinne always believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. I remember one specific piano recital in this very church. I was so nervous, and couldn’t seem to stop making mistakes. I so badly wanted to give up and run off the stage, but Corinne patiently coached me through and sat beside me the whole time to get me through. We always loved spending time with Corinne. She was fun to be around, sweet, funny, and thoughtful. We will deeply miss her. I will always be grateful that she shared her passion for playing the piano with our son. Thank you wouldn’t even be able to begin to say what Corinne did for me. She gave me something I will use for the rest of my life and helped me along the way to achieve this goal. For this I am eternally grateful. Corinne was indeed a very special, talented lady she will be missed! She accepted my 8 year old grandson as her student He was rather wiggly but she said “no problem” What a mentor at maybe 10 he developed stage-fright and didn’t want to play in recital what did she do? She played a duet with hem. He loves piano and music and thanks to her his talent and wonderful memories of Corinne will be with him always – Our thanks and love. Jerome, you and Corinne have gifted our family, as so many others, with music, a gift beyond measure, and we thank you…Perhaps our most precious memory of Corinne is a very fun filled one…you did a Halloween benefit concert at the high school. Jerome was attired as “Count Couture-u-la”, and when you tried to play, your cloak was seriously in the way. You said…”I should have practiced this…” Without missing a beat, Corinne responded: “What? The cello?” and brought down the house! It was a lovely moment…one of so many! Our home is filled with beautiful music because of the beautiful and magical gift Corinne shared with our daughter. Their mutual interest in piano and horses fostered such a special relationship, one that will live in our daughter’s (and our) heart forever. We feel so incredibly blessed to have known her. Our hearts are with you all. Corinne taught our daughter for over 5 years. She was such an excellent teacher and during those years Corinne brought much joy, spontaneity and laughter into her life. We all remember Corinne with love and fondness. One day when we arrived for our daughter’s lesson the power had gone out. Corinne lit all the candles, grabbed a lantern and she had her lesson. The piece she was playing was in a minor key and was eerie sounding. Corinne opened up the baby grand and began to strum the harp inside. There was much laughter and fun in the candle light. It was time like this that we will hold in our hearts and memories. She was a gift to all who had the privilege of having her in our lives! Thank you, God, for such a wonderful teacher. She nurtured and inspired my granddaughter and me too! She has left a big hole, and we will see her again. Corinne was my piano teacher and I was very sad when she died. I liked that she didn’t get mad when I messed up. She just let me start the measure over. I remember that Corinne was always so nice to me. She was the first person to teach me anything about music. After every lesson, she gave me candy. But it wasn’t because of that that I liked her. She had a great sense of humor, and every time I came we had fun. I never dreaded a lesson, not once that I can remember. She was my piano teacher for 5 years. Every Halloween, she would put legs in the piano, and close the lid, so it would look like someone had been stuck in there and trapped. She also put hands in the candy bowls, so it would look like there were people in the candy bowls. My biggest regret is that after five years, I left. She always told me stories about her childhood, and her brother and sister. I will always remember those 5 years of my life, and keep those memories forever. Corinne touched our lives in profound and memorable ways. She was a generous, supportive, inspiring, and amazingly talented teacher and friend. Corinne was such an amazingly talented and loving person. We are grateful for her gift of music that she shared with our children. For our daughter, especially Corinne was more than her piano teacher. She was her friend and she thought of her like a second mother. She will be missed but we will always remember her our whole lives. Every time our daughter plays we can’t help but think of her too. For many years I worked with Corinne as members of the Festival Club. She was always a joy to be around…beautiful inside and out, as you said. We will all greatly miss her presence. Our thoughts are with you. We are all so sorry for your loss. Corinne was a beautiful, kind woman. We always envied you and Corinne you shared your lives to a degree most married couples don’t get to. You have our deepest sympathy. We’re so sorry for your loss. Corinne touched so many people in ways so personal. She will always be remembered fondly. Some of my fondest memories are with my sweet friend, Corinne…leading our WLLC kids as our kids were growing up…at least 10 years of leading vacation bible school together and the youth choir! She brought music and Jesus into so many kids lives. What a talent (also my kids’ piano teacher) and a huge heart she had! She could change keys, make up music sheets and create just about anything on a moment’s notice. (artwork included!) I could not have done VBS or choir without her…she made me a better person and impacted my children’s lives in such a positive way. Although we here on earth are so grieved (her family especially!), I know God is smiling not just because he is pleased with his good and faithful servant but because he has her beautiful music in heaven! I will love you forever Corinne! I will remember how generous Corinne was to me at the Lake or your home and enjoyed our conversations during filming of the Dave movie. God Bless you all! My favorite memory of Corinne is making a ring for her. She was so genuinely delighted. Her smile was the best thank you. Few people sparkle the way she did. I am fortunate to have known her. Corinne was one of my favorite people to be with. No matter what was going she was always in good spirits making me laugh. I remember we would have lessons where we couldn’t stop laughing. Piano lessons were always something I enjoyed because of her. Corinne was my best friend. Corinne has the most beautiful smile. Her glowing personality will always be stamped in my spirit. You are family and I will forever feel lucky to know you. Camping with you is a highlight in my life. Corinne was my dear friend all through High School. We lived close to each other and rode the bus to school together until we could drive. Then Fred let us use the old Bel Aire with 3 on the tree to drive to school. Corinne would “horse” the shifter into gear and we’d be off. On our way to school talking about all the things that high school girls talk about. She was in music and drama and me in sports so we would share in each others worlds. We danced together (the Can Can) at Pioneer Village, went to youth group together, climbed up the ladder to “lay out” in the sun on top of the roof of the car port. Getting bored with “laying out” and turning our attention to teen things like Stage Leap jumps or back bends. Hands that hold hands that loved, hands that nourished the body and soul, hands that moved so gracefully over the keyboard. I would leave my house early in the morning before school just so I could sit outside her front door and listen to her practice on the piano. She would get so mad at me for sitting on the porch “why don’t you come in and listen?” I never wanted to interrupt the sounds of beauty coming from the piano. She was a gifted musician and a gift to me all through high school. She will live forever in my mind and heart. As Corinne’s hair dresser, I can tell you whole heartedly, she adored all of you. I have heard so many stories. I will miss her dearly. This last week has weighed heavy on my heart. It is awesome that you all have felt true love. We were privileged to know Corinne as our son’s piano teacher. We were so happy to find Corinne. She was a perfect fit of our son. Corinne gave him the gift of music. She was the one that kept him interested in piano. She always was positive with him. She had fun with him but also challenged and taught him so much. She cannot be replaced. I will miss seeing Corinne and her smile. I did not know she was a chef. Nice to hear Corinne’s story. I am from Jacksonville, Oregon. I lived up the hill from Corinne. My sister and Corinne drove to high school together and performed at the Pioneer Village together. I remember cutting through the Beyer’s property to get to the school bus. On my way sometimes I would hear Corinne playing the piano…I would always feel in awe of her talent and wonder how , how did she get so good …I also remember Corinne letting me bring her horse Yutani corn husks to eat. She was so “cool” being older, having a horse, being talented and so so pretty and kind. I enjoyed hearing about your relationship. It sounds like no other! Our whole family is better for having had you in our lives! We will forever remember Corinne’s kind and loving heart. We always appreciated her positive and nurturing approach to teaching music. Music is an expression of love that touches the deepest part of our souls. We will always love her and miss her. I remember one day our daughter came home from her lesson telling us how Corinne told her that she dreamed in color. I pray that Corinne’s soul is living in all the beautiful colors she dreamed. Glory be to God. We think about Corinne and talk about her with much affection. She was a wonderful, fiery, beautiful, creative and magical woman. When I imagine your house and Corinne’s now empty studio in the basement, it feels like some light has gone out, leaving your home and your lives darkened and bare. Corinne and I had a conversation once, years ago where she talked about dueting with you. She told me how romantic, exciting, and wonderful it was to play together a spiritual dance. I never forgot that. You will not duet together anymore on this earth anyway. But I know whenever you play she is playing with you. I liked having Corinne as my teacher. She made me laugh and she was always so nice. I’ve had a new piano teacher for a hear and a half but I still hear Corinne’s voice in my head telling me my fingers. I will ALWAYS probably hear that voice in my head telling me to curve my fingers. I am grateful for it. Corinne was a great teacher and inspiration to children. Corinne…a beautiful lady, inside and out, gifted by God to bring music to the world. Joyful, Kind, engaging, loving, caring, encourager. A servant sharing her gift with those who wanted to learn. Compassionate, empathetic, a true friend. Her presence in this world will surely be missed. I felt enlivened every time I spoke with her. Corinne was a friendly caring neighbor and friend. More than once, when I was “under the weather” she would arrive with a pot of homemade chicken soup. Not just any soup, but the kind that started with a whole chicken; it nurtured one’s mind and spirit. We will miss her. Corinne had that special something – that glowing personality people are drawn to. I fondly remember Corinne helping me through my divorce and brain surgery by making me laugh and concentrate on all the positives. I truly appreciated her gentle kindness. I loved the way that Jerome and Corinne worked together at recitals. It was such a joy to see you together. You could see how much you both loved each other and loved teaching music. My daughter was a student. She so enjoyed Corinne and looked forward to her lessons with her. She will be missed. I studied piano with Corinne for 9 years as a child. To this day I can sit down and improvise and at least half-way impress people. I don’t have to tell you, her family, what the gift of music means. I had always meant to restart lessons some day with Corinne as an adult to be a student more worthy of her attention, patience, and discipline. I never practiced enough, but she remains one of my lifelong favorite teachers. Corinne was a very special part of our lives. We met her 3 years ago and grew to love her as a friend and teacher. She had incredible patience and was an amazing teacher. I loved the connection she made with our son and appreciate the wonderful lessons we both learned. Thank you God for sharing Corinne. Our daughter took piano lessons from Corinne. Her kindness and love she brought to our daughter through music was an important part of her development into the young woman she is today. Dear Corinne, Of course you must know that you’ve been a huge part of our children’s lives, but I bet you never knew how very huge. What a tremendous gift they both received from you! Music is a super important thing to them both, part of their daily lives and even, in our son’s case, his present career. I always enjoyed chatting with you before or after lessons, about subjects serious, sublime, or silly. We all love you I hope you knew that. And we know that we’ll see you again. Love always. I still remember 9 years ago when I first met Corinne. My brother was taking lessons and I went to one of his lessons with my mom just to pick him up. When he finished, Corinne came out and we were introduced. She gave me a piece of candy and a beginner piano book, and in less than a year I was taking lessons myself. I’ve been able to have so many amazing experiences from piano, and Corinne was the one who really started that for me. Love always I took lessons from Corinne for over 10 years. I remember as I got older we would spend over half of the lessons just chatting. In the last 15 minutes we would say “well I guess we better play now”. Corinne was a big influence to me and brought me the gift of music. I am forever grateful for that. Corinne was such a lovely person. We are thankful for her friendship and will be forever grateful for the gifts of beauty and music that she gave our girls. Corinne holds a very special place in my heart. We met many years ago when your family began attending WLLC. We were fellow pianists and had much to share in that area. She was not only a fabulous pianist, but a bright light in my life, which has been so enriched by knowing her. Even though we did not see each other too often since the WLLC days, we seemed to be always able to pick up where we left off. She was a beautiful person and added so much joy to this life. Our hearts ache with the recent death of Corinne. She touched our lives for many years in her studio and made a tremendous impact on two young girls growing up. Our memories make us smile. What a gift Corinne shared with so many children. Her legacy will live on. There aren’t enough words to express how sad we feel over the loss of Corinne. She was so instrumental to our 2 girls as they embarked on their musical journey. She was encouraging and gentle in her manner and fun to have as a piano teacher. She was so loved and touched so many. Corinne was a very great person. She changed my life in a way that I couldn’t explain. I will always remember her. I will always remember Corinne, because she introduced me to the world of music and music is something I can’t live without. The gift of music is one of the greatest things I have ever received, and I will forever be thankful. She will be missed, and I will always remember her and her wacky ways. I would just like to say that Corinne was one of my biggest inspirations in music. She will be greatly missed. The world is definitely a more beautiful place because of Corinne. The celebration of life for Corinne was the best service I have been to. It was both an excellent tribute to an excellent woman, and a message which causes people to reflect on their own relationship with God. I particularly appreciated how you had written the song to her 15 years earlier and she was able to hear it, and she painted a picture with her mom not knowing it would be her last. So often people do not live, enjoy, and say things that need to be said until it is too late and the individual they care about never hears it. As I shared with another family, “That is why you say what needs to be said and live how you ought so you can be like the Couture family and have no regrets.” Thank you. I believe the way you lived and approached this situation has been an example and will affect many lives as Corinne did. We both loved her and it’s hard to imagine the Music School without her. Your loss and the community’s loss of such a dynamic woman as Corinne is greatly felt. Corinne was a most beloved woman to our family. We have been blessed having known her and her being an integral part of our lives. She will not be forgotten, but remembered with love and sweet memories. Thankful to her for making music so important here! Heaven gained another angel tonight. May our beautiful Corinne rest in peace. The pain hurts so much. My loss and grief are so open and big right now. I loved her, she was my mentor, a part of my life. Rest in peace Corinne, for I will play the piano for my whole life. I owe it to you. I miss you so much. Corinne instilled the love of music in our daughter. We will carry Corinne in our hearts forever. Corinne brought so much music and light into this world. We are thankful that she touched our son’s life for a brief time. The song is ended, but the melody lingers on…Corinne was truly an inspiration and brought light to the many lives she touched, including my own. Corinne was our son’s piano teacher for nine years. Sometimes busy schedules would get in the way and the boys would not want to disappoint Corinne but we would take them anyway. They always ended those lessons with smiles on their faces and were filled with compliments and lots of encouragement from Corinne. I love Corinne’s laugh and our special connection being PLU grads. Thank you both for your dedication and hard work, for touching so many lives with your music and for being who you both are! We are both shocked and saddened over Corinne’s unexpected passing. She was not only a mentor to our children, but also their very good friend. We are both very thankful for having Corinne be our piano teacher for all these years. We danced together (the Can Can) at Pioneer Village, went to youth group together, climbed up the ladder to “lay out” in the sun on top of the roof of the car port, getting bored with “laying out” - and turning our attention to fun things like stage leap jumps or back bends. Hands that hold, hands that love, hands that nourished the body and soul, hands that moved so gracefully over the keyoard. I would leave my house early in the morning before school just so I could sit outside her front door and listen to her practice on the piano. She would get so mad at me for sitting on the porch - “why don’t you come in and listen?” I never wanted to interrupt the sounds of beauty coming from the piano. She was a gifted musician and a gift to me all through high school. She will live forever in my mind and heart. Corinne has the most beautiful smile. Her glowing personality will always be stamped in my spirit. Corinne was one of my favorite people to be with. No matter what was going she was always in good spirits making me laugh. I remember we would have lessons where we couldn’t stop laughing. Piano lessons were always something I enjoyed because of her. Corinne was my best friend. My favorite memory of Corinne is making a ring for her. She was so genuinely delighted. Her smile was the best thank you. Pew people sparkle the way she did. I’m fortunate to have known her. I will always remember how generous Corinne was to me - at the lake or your home, and enjoyed our conversations. Some of my fondest memories are with my sweet friend, Corinne…leading our WLLC kids as our kids were growing up…at least 10 years of leading vacation bible school together and the youth choir! She brought music and Jesus into so many kid’s lives. What a talent (also my kids’ piano teacher) and a huge heart she had! She could change keys, make up music sheets and create just about anything in a monent’s notice. (artwork included!) I could not have done VBS or choir without her…she made me a better person and impacted my children’s lives in such a positive way. Although we here on earth are so grieved (her family especially!), I know God is smiling - not because he is pleased with his “good and faithful servant” but because he has her beautiful music in heaven! I will love you forever, Corinne! We’re sorry for your loss. Corinne touched so many people in ways so personal. She will always be remembered fondly. Corinne was a beautiful, kind woman. We always envied you and Corinne - you shared your lives to a degree most married couples don’t get to. Hou have our deepest sympathy. Corinne was always a joy to be around…beautiful inside and out, as you said. We will all greatly miss her presence. She was always laughing and welcoming with a big smile. The life of the party. Corinne was such an amazingly talented and loving person. We are grateful for her gift of music that she shared with our children. For our daughter expecially Corinne was more than her piano teacher. She was her friend and she thought of her like a second mother. She will be missed but we will always remember her our whole lives. Everytime our daughter plays we can’t help but think of her too. We wish you comfort and peace. With both our children studying at The Music School, we fully became a Couture groupie family. Though both kids have grown up and moved on to adult lives, those weekly music lessons are forever a part of the fabric of their lives. And our lives as well…Corinne touched their lives in profound and memorable ways. She was a generous, supportive, inspiring, and amazingly talented teacher and friend. We cherish our memories of Corinne. She was fierce in her belief in her students and her commitment to her art and beauty was joyful. We wish you comfort and are grateful she and you have been a part of our lives. Thank You. Loved to come to piano lessons…mostly to hear and see Corinne as she was so full of life and enthusiasm…instilling the love of music into her students. Loved her laughter. Corinne was my piano teacher from age 7-9. She was really nice, but ever since she had water in her ears she could’nt really hear us (she could but not very well). Improving my life with music is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I REALLY LIKE CORINNE. I remember that Corinne was always nice to me. she was the first person to teach me anything about music. After every lesson, she gave me candy. But it wasn’t because of that that I liked her. She had a great sense of humor, and every time I came we had fun. I never dreaded a lesson, not once that I can remember. She was my piano teacher for 5 years. Every Halloween, she would put legs in the piano and close the lid, so it would look like someone had been stuck in there. and trapped. She also put hads in the candy bowls, so it would like there were people in the candy bowls. My biggest regret is that after five years, I left. My whole family left and we didn’t even get to say good-bye. Now, I’ll never get to say good-bye. She always told me stories about her childhood and her brothers and sisters. I will always remember those 5 years of my life, and keep these memories forever. Corinne was my piano teacher and I was very sad when she died. I liked that she did’nt get mad when I messed up. She just let me start the measure over. I was performing Corinne’s mammogram many years ago. Her vivacious personality drew me to her. My children took lessons from her because of this chance meeting. My husband tuned her piano. She touched my entire family. We were anticipating her teaching my grandchildren. What now? I have the memory of coming in every week, and seeing Corinne very happy to see all of her students, ready to teach them to become very good piano players. She always made me smile, and she was very good at making piano very fun to play, and learn. Corinne is someone I will never forget. Thank you, God, for such a wonderful teacher. She nurtured and inspired my granddaughter, and me too! She has left a big hole, and we will see her again. One day when we arrived for piano lessons, the power had gone out. Corinne lit all the candles, grabbed a lantern and taught the lesson. The piece she was playing was in a minor key and was eerie sounding. Corinne opened up the baby grand and began to strum the harp inside. There was much laughter and fun in the candle light. It was times like this that we will hold in our hearts and memories. She was a gift to all who had the privilege of having her in our lives! Corinne taught our daughter for over 5 years. She was such an excellent teacher and during those years Corinne brought much joy, spontaneity and laughter into her life. We all remember Corinne with love and fondness. Thank you Corinne for bringing music to so many people! She made such a difference to all she touched. Sorry for your loss, Jerome. Continue to play great music. It was my pleasure to get to take piano lessons from Corinne many years ago. She was so much fun to be with. We always enjoyed seeing each other through the years. Thank you all for your exquisite musical tribute today. We will miss Corinne and her never ending smile and positive outlook….always. You and Corinne have gifted our family, as so man others, with music, a gift beyond measure and we thank you… Perhaps our most precious memory of Corinne is a very fun fulled one…you did a Halloween befefit concert at the high school. Jerome, you were attired as “Count Couture-u- la”, and when you tried to play, your cloak was seriously in the way. You said…”I should have practied this…” Without missing a beat, Corinne responded: “What? The cello?” and brought down the house! It was a lovely moment…one of so many! Corinne was indeed a very special, talented lady - she sill be missed! My memories are especially of her accepting my 8 year old grandson as her student. He was rather wiggly - but she said “no problem”. What a mentor - at baybe 10 he developed “ stage fright” and didn’t want to play in a recital - what did she do? She played a duet with him. He loves piano and music and thanks to her - his talent and wonderful memories of Corinne will be with him always - Thank you wouldn’t even be able to begin to say what Corinne did for me. She gave me something I will use for the rest of my life and helped me along the way to achieve this goal. For this I am extremely grateful. We always loved spending time with Corinne and Jerome. She was fun to be around, sweet, funny and thoughtful. We Ill deeply miss her. I will always be grateful that she shared her passion for playing the piano and in turn, lit the passion in him. Corinne was the mother of one of our best friends. In addition, she was my piano teacher. My fondest memories of Corinne take place int the basement of their old duplex, where Corinne pushed me to practice my skill. Corinne alwasy believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. I remember one specific piano recital in this very church. I was so nervous, and coudn’t seem to stop making mistakes. I so badly wanted to give up and run off stage, but Corinne patiently coached me through, and sat beside me the whole time to get me through. Corinne was such a good cook! Any event at your haouse meant we would be well-fed. She was also thoughtful. Last summer when she heard we’d been camping in our new little trailer she gave us a little painting she’d done, meant to be something we’d keep in the trailer. Who knew she had such talent? My experiences with Corinne defined a large part of my life. She furthered my love of and skill in creating music in a way nobody else could. She challenged me, held me to a high standard, and most importantly exhibited a genuine and uplifting care for me personally. Thank you for sharing the beautiful, gentle, gifted Corinne with my family. Her light shines on in you and in everyone she touched. Corinne was such a wonderful mentor in all aspects of my life, and taught me so much more than just piano. She was loving, and truly cared. She became part of our family, and I looked forward to seeing her each week. I remember the glitter and sparkles. A kindred spirit - the sparkles just made any day better. We met weekly for years (2 daughters learned from her) - it was a treat and I looked forward to it weekly. Thanks for treating our girls so respectfully weekly and by putting on such amazing recital - above and beyond required. Corinne was always willing to help me. She prepared me for more than just the annual festival, she prepared me for life beyond piano. Let her spirit give you strength now just as her life blessed your life while she was here. She touched many people’s life. We will always have her memory, affecting the way we live our lives. I am going to miss Corinne’s smile and her amazing piano playing. I also remember Corinne and I forgot our lefts and rights so we wrote it on our hands every lesson. We remember the Imperial Drive Studio, the Oregon City Studio, the studio in your home by Market of Choice. Always the welcoming feeling for the students and the parents. The wonderful recitals…We miss it all. Corinne helped our kids become the responsible adults they are. Much love to you all. Corinne had the most vibrant aura I have ever seen! We are better for having had you in our lives! I am from Jacksonville, Oregon. I lived up the hill from Corinne. My sister and Corinne drove to high school together and performed at the Pioneer Village together. I remember cutting through the Beyer’s property to get to the school bus. On my way sometimes I would hear Corinne playing the piano…I would always feel in awe of her talent and wonder how, how did she get so good. I also remember Corinne letting me bring her horse…”Yatani” corn husks to eat. She was so “cool” being older, having a horse, being talented and so so pretty and kind. I also remember Joan coming into the Oregon Trader where I worked, for lunch some times…I would often take “a lap” through Jacksonville on break and visit Joan’s gallery. I enjoyed hearing about your relationship. It sounds like no other!

Corinne had that special something that glowing personality people are drawn to. Little do they know that piano/music is a life-long journey where people like you and me are connected for life. I think that the piano recitals were this weekend. We are both very thankful for having Corinne be our piano teacher for all these years. She understood us, and kept inspiring us to play piano. We will always remember her, and she will always be our favorite piano teacher in our hearts. I’m glad we had gotten to know her and learn from her. Corinne was our childrens’ piano teacher for nine years. Sometimes busy schedules would get in the way and the boys would not want to disappoint Corinne but we would take them anyway. They always ended those lessons with smiles on their faces and were filled with compliments and lots of encouragement from Corinne! I love Corinne’s laugh and our special connection being PLU grads. Thank you both for your dedication and hard work, for touching so many lives with your music and for being who you both are! The song ended, but the melody lingers on…- Irving Berlin. I am so sorry for your loss. I was deeply saddened upon hearing the news. Corinne was truly an inspiration and brought light to the many lives she touched, including my own. Corinne brought so much music and light into this world. We are thankful that she touched our son’s life for a brief time. Corinne instilled the love of music in our daughter. We will carry Corinne in our hearts forever. Thank you for your prayers. Miss you so much. It is with great sadness we write for Corinne was a most beloved woman to our family. We have been blessed having known her and her being an integral part of our lives. She will not be forgotten, but remembered with love and sweet memories. Thankful to her for making music so important here! Words seem so hollow at a time like this, but know that we wish you comfort with the beautiful memories you and Corinne created. You loss and the community’s loss of such a dynamic woman as Corinne is greatly felt. Sending healing thoughts your way as you find your way through your sorrow. With deepest sympathy- We were so sorry to hear about Corinne. We loved her and it’s hard to imagine the Music School without her. It is still impossible to comprehend. Our thoughts are of you all. But our memories are of Corinne. So good. Faith is what she had and we must find comfort in that. The world is definitely a more beautiful place because of Corinne. I will always remember Corinne, because she introduced me to the world of music and music is something I cannot live without. The gift of music is one of the greatest things I have ever received, and I will forever be thankful. She will be missed, and I will always remember her and her wacky ways. Corinne was a very great person. Corinne changed my life in a way I couldn’t explain. I will always remember her. There aren’t enough words to express how sad we feel over the loss of Corinne. She was so instrumental to our 2 girls as they embarked on their musical journey. She was encouraging and gentle in her manner, and fun to have as a piano teacher. She was to loved and touched so many. Words are insufficient at times like this, but know that we care deeply. We did not know Corinne well but in the few interactions it was evident she was a very special, caring, and talented indifidual. She brought much joy to others through teaching music and through her other passions. These are gifts she left to others and that carry on. We hope the beauty of music will lift you throught this challenging time and remind you positively of Corinne. You have many friends to support you and are thinking of you. Our hearts ache with the recent death of Corinne. She touched our lives for many yyears in her studio, and made a tremendous impact on two young girls growing up. Our memories make us smile. What a gift Corinne shared with so many children. Her legacy will live on. Corinne was such a lovely person. we are thankful for her friendship and will be forever grateful for the gifts of beauty and music that she gave our girls. We are deeply sorry for your loss. We may not know why things happen in the way that they do in life. But we do know that we should take comfort in God who knows all things and He can work all things, no matter how bad they are in our eyes. Corinne is a fabulous lady and we feel so blessed to have shared time with her here. We were privileged to know Corinne as our sons piano teacher. We were so happy to find Corinne. She was a perfect fit for our son. Corinne gave him the gift of music. She was the one that kept him interested in piano. She always was positive. She had fun with him but also challenged and taught him so much. She cannot be replaced. I will miss seeing Corinne and her smile. As Corinne’s hairdresser, I can tell you whole heartedly, she adored all of you. I have heard so many stories. I will miss her dearly. This last week has weighed heavy on my heart. It is awesome that you all have felt true love. Corinne was my dear friend all through High School. We lived close to each other and rode the bus to school together - until we could drive. Then Fred let us use the old BelAire with 3 on the tree to drive to school. Corinne would “horse” the shifter into gear and we’d be off. On our way to school talking about all the things that high school girls talk about. She was in Music and Drama and me in sports - so we would share in each others worlds. Jerome, you were attired as “Count Couture-u-la”, and when you tried to play, your cloak was seriously in the way.
